About Sauti ya Quran FM Radio

Radio Sautiya Qur`an was registered officially under the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) in 2000, and is owned by the National Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA).

The Radio is located at the junction of Shaurimoyo and Lindi Streets, Kariakoo Ward, Ilala District, Dar es Salaam (at Al-Haramain Islamic College Building).

Its coverage includes the Dar es Salaam region, Pwani region, Tanga region, Lindi Region, Morogoro region, and Zanzibar. In our December 2018 research, we estimated to have 8.5 million listeners.

The radio has skilled personnel in the training cadre, as far as Journalism and Radio Broadcasting Career is concerned.

Our Vision is to translate Journalism academically practically with moral guidelines; and our Mission is to inform, entertain (in a good way), and educate the society.

In order to reach our goals, we have established 34 different community-based programs. Through our widely gained experience, we thought of taking a great challenge in making our dreams on these specific goals come true.

We still think it is high time for the Radio programs to be a community forum of expression, an idea-sharing tool, and an economic empowerment organ and education provider.

For that matter, we invite different development stakeholders from different sectors, business firms, NGOs, CBOs, and anyone who wants to sponsor any program, advertise its business product, or idea for a reasonable cost.
